For Using and Perusing Its Resources

Borrowing
Bits:
Patrons
must use their NPS ID card as their library card. Patrons are
responsible
for all items checked out on their cards.
Most
items are checked out for two weeks. Most can be renewed up
to 3
times,
if user returns them to be rescanned for renewal
Magazine
and Newspapers are checked for 3 days.
Some
special items may be checked out overnight.
Some
very special items (CD-ROMs, Videos, Historical materials) may
be
checked out only at the discretion of the librarian.
Fines
are assessed at $.25 per day for materials 30 or more days overdue.
Library
Laws:
Behavior must be conducive to study, reading,
or thoughtful creativity.
Food
and/or Drink are not permitted.
Signed
Passes from teachers are required for students visiting the library
during
regular class time.
patrons
with overdue materials may not check out other items until the
materials
are returned, and fines or replacement costs are paid.
Computers
in the library are provided for educational purposes. Users
must
yield to students needing them for school work. Personal printing
must
be pre-approved by the librarian, and will incur charges.
Copying/Creating/Printing/projects:
A
Photocopier is available. The students may copy 2 pages
for free;
each
copy thereafter is $.10/page.
Some
items for composing and creating visual projects are available for
loan
in the library. Creativity is encouraged; cleanup of work areas is
required;
borrowed supplies are to be returned.
There
is no charge for printing one copy of articles and compositions on
the
black laser printer. Color printing is available; students may have
2
pages
of color free; each page thereafter is $.25/copy. Patrons are to
prudent
and use discretion in their computer printing. Copying and
Pasting
information into Word documents is encouraged to save paper
and
toner, and for users to consider carefully what their true information
needs
are.
