Welcome to the Navajo Preparatory School Library web site.  This site is designed to provide our school community with access to quality information, whether from school or at home. Our purpose is to ensure that resources are available so that all users may find what they need and become proficient in using information in today's world.  You are invited to explore and learn and enjoy this collection of resources.

Library Hours:
Sunday           7:00 pm - 8:20 pm
Mon - Thurs.    7:15 am - 9:00 pm                               
Friday             7:15 am - 4:00 pm

Mission:
The Mission of the Navajo Preparatory School library is to provide access to resources, technologies, and staff to serve the reading and educational needs of NPS Youth who have the desire and potential
to succeed in higher education so that they can "lead into the future."  The library works to ensure
that students and staff at NPS are effective users of ideas and information, capable of adapting to
the challenges of a changing global society.

Staff:
Our library is staffed by two full-time workers.  A certified librarian, and  a library assistant who keeps the library open evenings to provide services to students and other staff.

About Us:
The Navajo Preparatory School Library contains over 10,000 references/fictions/general information books, videos, and 50+ magazines.  Twenty-nine networked computers give students access to a variety of software programs and the Internet.  Students also have access to four quality online databases containing a variety of digitized periodical, graphical, and reference information.  Other information processing tools available include a photocopy machine, laminator, printers, scanners, digital cameras, and project preparation supplies.
